Trouble with high recoil games (PubG and Insurgency)  (Read 458 times)

I'm having a great time with the Xim Nexus across many games but I can't seem to get a good setup on two games in particular: PubG and Insurgency:Sandstorm.  I'm wondering if it's because these games have high recoil or another reason.

People have discussed this one here. Various suggestions we given like allowing the boosting of vertical motion while the trigger is held. The concern though was that when you aren't using a weapon with recoil. Do you think a fix like that would help?

Loving the nexus too but wish there was a way to fine dial recoil control. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Try Y Ratio while ADS, which will make it easier to control vertical movement, like recoil. The issue being that it'll affect your aim while ADS and not shooting.

The proposed solution is to increase Y Ratio while shooting. An option to do that separately for HIP and ADS (because recoil can vary between the two modes) would be great OBsIV.

Increasing Y ratio to 100 helps with recoil management but makes the vertical sensitivity  bit too much.

I hate to bang on but we need sub configs for the nexus

examples

Crouch Shot On Left Trigger

D-Pad Switch to right-side Buttons

Recoil Control Right Trigger on fire Only

Auto Sprint On Left Thumbstick

Would also be nice to see Button Behaviour added also.

For controlling recoil  try using reverse Vertical on ADS only.

Don't dismiss the idea without trying.

Leaning the controller forward is natural to control recoil.
Pulling the stick back is natural to control recoil.

But..  leaning the controller forward AND pulling the stick back at the same time is a conflict in your head.

So reverse the Right stick Vertical on ADS only,   and lean forward with the controller added recoil control is by pushing the stick in the same direction.

Bump, if we had an option to only do increase Y ratio while shooting and holding down ADS and not when shooting without ADS, that would be really helpful for both nexus and apex

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the ask but you can do this today (i.e. increase YScale only while in ADS).

He's suggesting only while ADS + Shoot (LT + RT). That won't help while shooting in HIP though.

Adjusting Y Ratio while Shoot is active would help with recoil control, yes.

Ideally, it would be separate for HIP and ADS as the recoil is often higher in HIP.

That would also cover BrutalImp's request by leaving the HIP Y Ratio for Shoot at default (0.5?), while allowing the ADS Y Ratio for Shoot to be changed.

It's almost like we need a bindable action to do this. But that wouldn't help the separate values for Hip and ADS. Ot maybe another value like YScale but one that only activates while firing. Would there be any need to adjust YScale dynamically outside of firing?
