Is it just me or is battlefeild recoil a real pain in the @#$% to control? Like when it starts climbing there's no way to hold it down.

DO you have the vertical aim ratio and vertical zoom ratio turned to 100 in the in game settings?

Yes I have this issue as well. It's BF2042. It seems to be compounding the recoil even when pulling down. It's gotta be a bug or something because this is nothing like any other game. Even while pulling down it perfectly stays above the target until you REALLY pull it down hard. It's so stupid. They need to fix it. Also, as soon as I kill the enemy my aim shoots to the ground rapidly.

And at least for me I double checked those settings. Yep both 100.

It is especially strong at far ranges seems like as soon as I'm above enemy's head it stays there

I have zero issues on xbox series x, but when i use my xim on PC recoil on certain guns goes VERTICAL LIKE A MOFO. Never experienced that before lol, but it's not made for pc, soooo...

it's the target bubble. You have to turn off the aiming aid / reduce 50% or play Xim with high DPI and sync off.

Mouse 1000hz
default
RML curve
I even have 100% aimassist in game. But hardly feel it anymore. Runs great that way.
