Xim4 vs Apex in 2021/2022

Hello.

I previously owned the XIM Apex and (for some reason :facepalm:, I sold it…) now am looking at buying a used 4 for $25.

I loved the Apex. That said, I don’t want to buy the 4 if it’s not going to be as good as the Apex.

I know the Apex is obviously going to be an improvement… but is 1000hz polling rate supported? And is there a severe difference in input delay?

All the answers I could find are from a few years back so I’m hoping there’s a change.

XIM 4 feels smoother out of the box precisely because it runs at only 125Hz. Many people jump straight to 1000Hz on APEX and cause themselves all sorts of problems.

For $25, you’re getting a steal. It’s worth around $200 USD on the second-hand market.

I have to agree with anti. I still use my XIM4 often for PC and Series S gaming. Definitely more than worth it still. Just be sure to use an Xbox One controller, not a Series S/X one. They (S/X) have a Type C connection in case you're wondering what the difference is.

I gave my brother my Apex long ago and honestly I've never felt like I'm missing out on anything.

200 $ ? on the French second hand stores the XIM4 are at 35-70€ on average

there are a lot of players...
who prefer XIM4 to XIM APEX
and I think I'm one of them

because 125 hw works better on Aim Assist (AA) and Smoother...
And 125 Hz Match the PS4 games
XIM4 don't need extra settings to be solid
and it easier to get good settings

if I'm not mistaken PS4 games are not created to support 1000 Hz

and I noticed that the XIM experts use 250 Hz and the beginners 1000 is a detail...

I tried both and i prefer Xim4.

My only concern is there are not enough config for Xim4. It's Always for apex haha

This one interests me because I do not have a single clue how to get a 'Apex Config' to translate to my XIM4... I either have to try and re-create it myself or not even bother.

We get the same Smart Translators on all platforms, but the configuration formatting is platform-specific. What I mean is you can't copy of a config or curve from APEX to XIM 4 and vice-versa.

You do need to recreate from scratch if trying to copy from one to the other.
