XIM4 no longer working XBOX SERIES X BF2042

Restarted, Power cycled
Hard reset
updated firmware
reset XIM
Different controllers
New cords
also tried using power USB

Everything lights up fine but no response at all.

Research suggests Xbox has disabled external devices like XIM

Is this the case and if so can we expect a fix?

Welcome to the community. What research are you referring to? If XIMs were being disabled, there would be more reports of it.

Your same setup works fine in all other game and the dash?

I have a XIM4 which I've been using for a long long time and when trying to use it to play on XBOX Series X today the mouse and Keyboard were unresponsive so I tried numerous things as per my initial post.

It no longer works on any game on the series X

I even loaded another Xim as I have one with a faulty power port just to test it and that didn't work either
Ive used the series x and xboxn one controllers
3 different cords between both controller and xbox
reset the XIM
Updated firmware
and reset xbox

When I load the XIM manager on the phone it shows the keyboard and mouse are connected

It no longer works on any game on the series X

If it's not working in any game, then, it sounds like a hardware or connectivity issue. Are you seeing the green initialization lights at startup?

I can confirm exactly the same as the above post... just went on a week's holiday,  came back today and have the exact same thing.  The xim is fine,  everything connects fine in the app, but keyboard and mouse 100% unresponsive. Never had a single issue before now.

Did your controller take an update? If so, you'll need to install our latest firmware here: https://community.xim.tech/index.php?topic=96797.0

If that doesn't work, then pleast try hard rebooting your Xbox (press and hold the power button on it until it shuts off and then turn it back on).

Sounds like it's no longer connecting to your controller. Please install the Beta from the link I posted.

The firmware update resolved the issue. Man, hours spent trying to sort this. Should have just posted first

I was just updating the firmware but when I saw the post relating to the recent controller update it all made sense.

Glad you were able to get it sorted out. This firmware you just upgraded to will be promoted to retail in a week or so along with the new Manager for XIM4. XIM4 and XIM APEX Manager are being upgraded to use the new game database system that XIM NEXUS uses. That way, game updates can come out faster.
