So I have a question,

In a sense will you be able to use the function layers like you can with the apex?

The reason I ask is for like shift style keys on PC.

Like one of the buttons on the bottom may be bound to B, but if you press another button (Function key) it now makes that B button into X or combination inputs?

Also if this doesn't make sense I can try to re-word it.

If you mean like hypershift on Logitech devices, then no, it's not supported. But multiple actions &/or functions can be mapped to a single NEXUS button.

That's an interesting question though for potential PC usage where control schemes aren't anywhere near as compact as console controllers.

What about auxiliary profiles using hold activation and non inherited keybinds, would that work?

There are no AUX sub-configs on NEXUS and bindings are global within a config for HIP and ADS.

NEXUS is a controller intended to play console games with the added benefit of motion aim, rather than a controller intended to play PC games that have a huge number of keybinds.

There are enough buttons on NEXUS to use in place of an Xbox or PS controller, with a handful of extra buttons to bind to controller actions. Double-binding, like on APEX, is possible. But AUX configs are not. Analog triggers can be configured to perform different actions at different depths, but digital buttons (everything else) cannot.

PC games will be supported by NEXUS, but only if that game supports a controller. If you want something more complex, maybe reWASD will do the job on PC. Lithe uses NEXUS to play PC m/kb games with reWASD.

Couple of questions:

1. How does the gyro work? Is it enabled at all times, or do you press a button to turn it on/off?

2. Is it possible to control what the console sees the Nexus as? For example let's say I want to play in both the controller and mouse/keyboard playlists on Halo Infinite, is that possible?

There are numerous ways to engage Motion Aim, toggling on/off is one of them.

NEXUS is a controller and can only present as such on console. It is possible on PC to appear as m/kb by routing NEXUS through reWASD.

what does AUX configuration mean?

Auxiliary config.  IE if you press "E" it changes your config to something else  (like if you wanted a different config to control your sparrow in Destiny)

XIM NEXUS has 24 mappable buttons (and also 4 separate customizable trigger positions per trigger). You can map any one of these to engage or toggle motion. Also, I think you are asking if you can have multiple "actions" per button (such as "Press A" and "Engage Motion"), which you can.

Hey OBsIV, had a quick question about this.

Are the customizable trigger positions similar to the hair trigger locks on the Xbox Elite controllers, or does it mean that you can map up to 4 different actions to one trigger (ex. 50% pull to melee, 100% to throw grenade)?

Welcome to the community. The trigger positions are not physically locked. Rather, you can assign different actions to different positions. Yes, you could do 50% melee and 100% grande throw.
