How are you overclocking the DS5?

Purple lights are indicative of USB desync, which is likely caused by the DS5 if you're manipulating its polling rate.

Do you mean XIM APEX Response Rate? That shouldn't make any difference.

One of your connected devices (mouse, keyboard or controller), or a device XIM APEX is connected to (like a Cronus) is causing the USB desync and is disconnecting your XIM.

Hey guys,

I followed all suggested instruction, plus read all pages but still not working.

So I connected Mouse and Keyboard and DS to Xim hub, than connected it to Apex and than to my laptop (an HP Omen).
Light on Apex is green, no purple, so I think all is correct but continue to not work.

Strange thing is that DS light go on, it means is powered but if I move joystick or button nothing happens and obviously keyboard and mouse are not working.

I also tried to connect only DS to Apex than to laptop but still not working. If I connect DS directly to laptop it works.

My brother has another Apex and he has a tower computer and his Apex works. I tried with his Apex and his USB hub and still not work.

I have no more idea. I'm thinking there is something strange with my computer.
I ordered from Amazon an USB powered AC hub and hope is a power issue.

If you have other suggestions I appreciate them.

The main thing to make sure is that the PS4 controller is set to communicate using USB cable , I couldn't get anything to work , then after several attempts got the controller in options on PS4 menu to switch to usb mode , this might also be the case for pc versions?

I've got it running fine using PS4 slim , will setup battlefield on Friday if you have any questions

Sooooo. MacBook pro 2014. Ps5. Remote play setup. Can connect and can actually use both the PS4 v1 and the ps5 controller when usb is plugged in direct to my surprise.
Both can work great, however when I unplug and add the xim apex and 3 way usb ( mouse port 1 and ps5 controller port 3 ) it does not work?  Any more ideas or do I need to find an old PC?
I expected it to work if it works when plugged in direct usb.

A DualShock 4 V2 is needed for Mac. No need to buy a PC, just find a more recent DualShock 4.

Does anybody know if it’s possible to mute the audio of the remote play on my pc without having to mute the entire pc audio altogether?

Yes you can use the Windows Audio Mixer to change volume or even mute specific apps or audio sources, including Remote Play.

Thanks for the reply. Where can I find the Windows audio mixer?

Eartrumpet is a free app that can assign audio channels to devices on Windows computers. Volume can also be set independently for each app on each device.

On Mac, SoundSource is the way to go. It's a paid app though, but it's worth the asking price.

Bottom right task bar, right click the audio symbol and choose audio mixer. Alternatively type "mixer" into the bottom left Windows search bar.

Hi, guys.

I followed the steps and tried to plug/unplug DS and KB around 10 times. It finally works.

During the failure period, I noticed that I can give a single order (e.g. circle or cross) in the remote play and then DS is offline. <-- It seems like USB power issue.

I wonder that will a standalone 5V-DC powered USB hub can solve this issue?

Any opinion from xim team? Thanks!

I have the same issue as yours. Thanks!
