Destiny 2 and battleye?
« on: 10:55 AM - 08/24/21 »
Those of us that play Destiny 2, Bungie is now implementing an anti-cheat called battleye.
Will this in anyway be able to recognize Apex, consider it a cheat, and get us banned?

*spelling.

I doubt that a Xim is even classed as cheating. Since it's not affecting/breaking the game in any way. But one thing I have noticed in the new controller settings for the game has caused looking around to bounce up and down, side to side. when moving a mouse around. When using the controller plugged into Xim it's still working normally, with no bounce.

It could be the Xbox Series X ST, which exhibits that behaviour. Try the Xbox One ST instead.

That fixed the issue. Cheers for that.

Answered in other threads here, and on your ConsoleTuner thread :)

In a nutshell, XIM APEX can't be detected over USB as anything other than the controller connected to it.

That said, if the anticheat software uses input heuristics, XIM users should enable Simulate Analog Behaviour to prevent WASD digital input detection.

If using any sort of mods like rapidfire or antirecoil on third-party devices, the timing of those mods should be randomised.

Besides XIM not being a cheat device, Bungo has never had a problem with XIM. Dr Lupo openly streamed Destiny for years with one and was more or less an ambassador for the game.

BattlEye works by monitoring your game state in memory and observing your overall process list. It's not analyzing heuristics.
