Controller disconnecting issue when playing on PC  (Read 187 times)

Hello,
Recently my Xbox Controllers have started cutting out during games when connected to the pc via XIM Apex Adapter. At first I thought it may have been a usb issue, however Iím now beginning to think that the XIM Apex, Controller and mouse are all using to much power from the one usb which is causing this, maybe I wrong I really donít know. I was hoping someone could maybe give me some advice or if they have encountered this problem there self.

Welcome to the community. Do you see a change in APEX's light activity when this happens and if so how does it change?

A good place to start is to connect the controller directly to the power source to charge without APEX or the hub connected. If using an Xbox controller, leaving the battery removed would be best in lowering your setups power draw. Testing other data cables with the controller may help as well.

Since you are on PC it would also be good to set your APEX response rate to 125hz. This is the rate that the PC expects your controller to be and because APEX isn't designed to work with a PC this may be required. If doing this helps you could experiment with 250 and 500hz later.
