[RESOLVED] Xim flashed red- controller issues

Hi,

I’m having issues connecting the controller.

I have downloaded the latest firmware.
I have followed the video and downloaded the xim manager.

When I follow the video and connect the mouse, keyboard and controller the lights flash all the colours then stay on red.

When I go on the Xim manager app ok my phone it shows the keyboard and mouse being connected but not the controller.
This  is the 2nd new controller I’ve bought and same issue.

I’ve got the Xbox one controller with usb to usb c controller connection and also just bought this:  Afterglow Prismatic LED Wired Controller: Multicolor - Xbox One

I have checked the controllers work by themselves and also through the xim wire on its own and they do.

I have also moved the wires around to test the usb slots on the xim hub and they all seem to be working fine.

My son seems to think that the controllers need to be 2.0 which I’m thinking are.

I don’t know what else to try right now so any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the community. It may help to update both firmware and Manager to the beta that supports the new XS platform. This is separate from the latest build in the download section. XS controllers have also had a few firmware updates from Microsoft and it may need to be updated as well. Unfortunately the Afterglow controller may not be compatible, APEX supports original controllers from the console makers. I'll share links for both suggestions below.

it may help to update the controller firmware while APEX is not connected. There have been a few controller updates since the console has launched.

The firmware update can be done using an Xbox or PC.
