Emulate controller on Cold War

Is it possible to use the XIM to play Call of Duty: Cold War via a KB/M on my PC, but to have them emulated as being a controller so that I can take advantage of the aim assist that controller players get?

Yes, it is. Converting MKB inputs to controller and tricking the console into thinking it's a controller, is exactly what the XIM was designed for and it does work on a PC using an XB1 controller as an authenticator.
