[ACTIVE] My Controller won’t turn on!

My mouse and keyboard powers on but my controller will just vibrate but not turn on. I went out and bought a brand new controller, thinking the USB port was the issue, only to find the same issue. I even bought a brand new cable to connect to the controller but that didn’t work either. The controller even says its connected when I look on the app but I am unable to use anything.

Welcome to the community. Which console model are you using and if you manually turn on the controller does your setup begin to work?

Hard resetting the console can fix a console bug that affects wired controllers. To do this, press and hold the power button on the front of the console for 15 seconds. Once off unplug the power cable to the console for 60 seconds. Reconnect the power cable and power on the console. Attach all peripherals to XIM then connect XIM to the console.

Removing the power cable while off for up to a minute is recommended.
