Using USB hub for the XIM Apex

Hey guys,
Can I replace the USB hub that comes with the XIM apex with another usb hub?

Yes, APEX supports 2.0 hubs but 3.0 hubs are reported to work by the community as well.

Oh, interesting. So in case the provided apex hub broke down or if i want to to just replace it with another hub, I can do so?

Yes. XIM also supports more than 3 concurrently connected USB devices. I regularly use 5 devices on my APEX via a powered, 12V, 13 port USB hub.

So if using a different hub, say anything more then the 3 hubs on xim hub, is there still a specific configuration as far as what plugs where?
