Xim Apex vs Titan Two
« on: 05:06 PM - 01/03/21 »
Hey Guys,
Just a Little Question.

I‘m a Owner of a XIM4 and i like 2 Play without many Special Configs.
Now my Problem is i Need 2 Play easy with Mouse an Keyboard.

Whats the Added Value from a Xim vs use only Titan Two ?
Titan Two works with ps5  and Xim only with +Titan ?!

Or will Xim Apex work soon with PS5 ?

Both XIM APEX and Titan Two work on PS5. To play PS4 games, you just need a DualShock 4 controller to connect to APEX or T2. To play PS5 games, both devices need a specialty PS4 controller for console authentication and to avoid disconnects (refer to https://xim.tech/beta). Titan Two also supports a DualSense controller for authentication, but there's a short timeout of 800ms every 8 mins to reconnect to the console.

Both devices do a fine job of mouse & keyboard, but XIM APEX is much more plug & play, with more precise mouse aim due to mapping each game's unique look mechanics via Smart Translators, which are exclusive to XIM devices. Titan Two can get close for mouse aim, depending on the game, but requires more fine-tuning and lacks XIM APEX's extensive range of Expert configuration settings.

If you're after the best and easiest m/kb experience, go with XIM APEX. If you want m/kb and mods, but with a steeper learning curve, Titan Two is a great option. Titan Two can add mods and additional device support to XIM APEX, so many of us use both in combination.

Hi Antithesis, I have XIM However I’m thinking to get the Titan two to use it along the XIM only for no recoil. Dose it work that way ? And is there will be any issue or any extra input lag by using both devices ? Note I will be using Xbox series X.

Is this issue fixed in the latest beta?

So if i understand this correct - if i play on ps5 and want to play ps5 games with xim apex + scripts\mods i can use xim apex and titan two together as long as i have two third party controllers - like the hori mini pad? Or?

You only need one third-party controller.
Connect XIM APEX with mouse, keyboard & a DS4 controller to Titan Two INPUT-A.
Connect your third-party PS4 controller to Titan Two INPUT-B.
Set Titan Two Output Protocol to USB PS5.

Nacon Compact PS4 Controller seems to be the best way to go as it doesn't need to be unplugged and replugged to work. Hori Mini Pad apparently does, at least on XIM APEX.

There won't be a way around the DualSense timeout until third-party PS5 controllers are released and reverse-engineered.
