Hello all,

So, I've been trying to use my XIM Apex, however, I've run into issues

My controller, when plugged into the XIM Apex will not turn on.
The controller is fully charged, however, will blink yellow a few times then shut off.

When connected to the XIM Apex manager, I can see my mouse, keyboard, and controller inputs.
However, no inputs are translated to in-game.

I've tried following steps from other threads, but none have worked for me.
The issue starts with some of the initial steps I've seen taken on other threads:
- Connecting the controller by itself into the XIM Apex then plugging the XIM Apex in.

At this step, my XIM Apex rainbow color cycles, flashes green then goes to red.
My controller, at this step, flashes yellow then never turns on.

I already know that by itself, my controller works correctly. And that my controller is fully charged.

Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome to the community. XIM may be turning the controller light off and this is normal.

If playing on PS4, is the console communication method set to USB instead of bluetooth? This is required if the controller supports it.

Settings > Devices > Controllers > Communication Method

We can also check if the controller is authenticating, this is needed for your mouse and keyboard to work.  To do this, please remove APEX and then disconnect the mouse and keyboard. Reconnect APEX to the console with only the controller connected to the hub while watching APEX's startup light sequence. Do you see 4 green lights during this sequence? For reference the startup light sequence should look similar to this:

red, green, blue
red
green, green, green, green
red

If you do not see 4 green lights at startup and you have spare data cables please test other data cables with the controller. If it does show four green lights then please attach the mouse only, test in a game, and share your results.

The Xim shows the 4 flashing green lights w/ only controller, however, controller still doesnt turn on.

When I connect the mouse only, there are no flashing green lights, and the mouse does not work.

Same occurs when I connect mouse and controller, 4 flashing lights, but no input in game.

Your XIM may be turning the controller light off, this is normal. Sometimes it can help to swap the mouse and keyboard cable position at the hub.

Could you please share your setup so we can learn more about the issue? Please include both the brand and model.

mouse:
keyboard:
extras: extended usb cables, third party usb hub, usb switch, titan or cronus device?

To confirm, you're experiencing this on a PS4 and not a PC?

With 4 green lights from APEX your controller has initialized and can talk with XIM and the console. It's odd that your peripherals aren't working. Did switching their ports at the hub help?

Yes, XIM does not support PC as a gaming platform but some players have been able to use XIM in their PC game by using a Microsoft wireless Xbox One controller with their XIM. Third party controllers are not supported.

With that said you may encounter performance issues using XIM on a PC due to the possibility of PC game look mechanics being different from their console versions. Using APEX at 1000hz on PC may cause performance issues as well. Using APEX at 125hz on PC may be required.
