I can confirm that it works, plug and play, just make sure you are switched to cable connection only on the ps5. Haven’t checked the new controller but I doubt it will work since it’s got a different chip. I’m playing apex legends just like I did with my old ps4 and it feels super smooth, even better at locked 60FPS.

It works for me using a ps4 controller on ps5 when you switch to USB instead of bluetooth. You can play any non ps5 game without any issues so far. It also works on series x, with my xbox one x controller. Although I think all games are compatible with the old controllers. The only difference is the capture button on new xbox controllers

It doesn't work with PS5 using a DS5. We are looking into it and will need time.

For PS4 games on PS5, a DualShock 4 controller will work with XIM APEX and probably XIM 4.

For PS5 games on PS5, a DualSense controller is not yet supported on XIM APEX. You'll need a specialty PS4 controller (e.g. Hori Mini or Nacon Compact), or a Titan Two.

From what I know, XIM 4 will not receive a PS5 update due to memory limitations of the device (it's already maxed). Again, Titan Two may be the solution.

I've just got a PS5 and will run some tests with XIM APEX and XIM 4 when time permits.

It works fine on ps5 with my PS4 controller but I have no sound when my headset is connected to the controller. Anyone else? When I disconnect the cable from the controller I can then hear sound.

It woks in ps5 with ds4 and ps4 games, but not in ps5 games

Now i only have my ps5 and my xim 4 is in a box, I do not use it.

Controller audio only works on a DS4 V2. DS4 V1 doesn't support audio over USB.
