xbox controller an xim polling
« on: 01:01 AM - 10/16/20 »
so whats odd is xbox polls at 125hz but on my pc the program i have when i plug just my controller in no xim or anything it says its polling at 4ms 250hz...i can overclock it if i want or use xim to change it. just odd it shows it at 250hz the controller in general. and if i change the polling to 125hz on the xim it says on program its still 250hz which i know its not cause i can feel the difference in game when changing it. just odd the xbox controller polls at 125hz but program says it is at 250hz

As far as I know, Xbox One and PC both poll USB ports at 250 Hz by default, which is where that value comes from. The controller however only responds to every second poll, resulting in a 125 Hz rate.

Ahh hmm interesting...so basically if u arent using xim but just a xbox controller on pc it may say 250hz(interval 4s) but its really only responding at 8ms? An thats where the xim comes in cause in a way it is overclocking it? To 250hz or 500 or 1000hz

also one thing that is odd is say i dont overclock at all but set xim to 125hz or 250 it feels way different then if i overclock it but still overclock the controller to 1000. which is confusing i figured regardless 125hz is 125hz but with overclocked it feels way tighter an more responsive(less floaty) then no overclock an xim at 125hz
