XIM BETA for XBX / S / PS5
« on: 04:28 PM - 10/13/20 »
I should be able to save this current firmware im on to revert back to it later right  ? I was reading the description it said "XIM APEX doesn't yet support upcoming Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5 (to be released in November 2020). However, this change prepares XIM APEX Manager for next-gen once supported."  how will it prep for it ? I was wondering if there could be further explanation??. when will the XiM manager be available for the ios ? .   Finally what could I do to help the testing process since I am getting a series X.

The Beta for Manager upgrades the games database (repository) to support additional gaming platforms (before, it only understood Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3) and also future products we are working on.

iOS is a difficult platform to test Betas due to Apple's insistence that their TestFlight system be used. So, we always release on PC and Android first to get feedback and address bugs before we invest the time into releasing an iOS build. It's looking like we need another week or two before we release an iOS build.

You should always be excited about future XIM products! We are working on another (which is why we wanted to get out these Manager updates now for testing). But, as I mentioned in the past on here, our next one isn't going to be a mouse and keyboard adapter.

Hey sorry I've just bought an apex and assumed there would be a software update to make it compatible for Ps5 when released. Did I assume wrong?

There will be for both next-gen consoles assuming we are able to.

Excited to see where the project goes, I've been a follower since the XIM 2.  I have to admit I have not used the Apex very much since I got it, not because I don't like it but because with the new COD games they are finally cross-platform so I can party up with my buddies while playing on PC, so it isn't needed.
PS4 Pro / XB 1 S / XIM Apex
PC: R5 3600 / Sapphire Pulse 5700XT / 16GB Geil EVO X 3200
Monitor: MSI Optix MAG321CQR
Inputs: Razer Orbweaver / Logitech G502
