Xim 4 and Cronus Zen
« on: 08:56 AM - 10/02/20 »
Hey guys,

i am having a little issue, that the cronus zen cuts the power supply to my xim4 after a while (sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes 2 hours). I do not have any rgb on my mouse or keyboard. My controller is fully charged.

When used the xim 4 directly with the ps4pro, it works flawlessly.

May it be that the whole setup with the controller, mouse, keyboard and xim drains too much power from Zen A1 USB port?

I think, when I would get a powered USB hub for my Xim4, problem can be solved.

Does anybody has a suggestion for me please?

Best,
tzerony

You could try troubleshooting against power but be aware that other cronus devices don't run great with APEX. Is this device known to work with XIM4 by others?

Titan on the other hand optimized their devices to be used with XIM. I've read that a Titan+XIM setup does need extra power so maybe this is the case for your device too.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I would like to try to use a powered usb hub. Do I need a 5V 3A for that?
