Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 - Docking Station

Hi All,

This is a question that goes out to anyone that has the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2

Specifically, my question is this:

Can you connect to the Xim Apex via the Xbox Dock that the Elite Series 2 controller comes with (whilst the controller is on the dock)?

I understand it is possible to place the controller on the dock and plug into the controller directly, but my question is related to connectivity via the dock itself.

Nowhere online was I able to confirm if the dock supplies power or power/data.

I'm not familiar with this, but, if the controller can still function via wired in this situation, then, it should work. But, maybe someone more familiar with this can comment.
