I may be wrong but I think Obsiv or someone else was going to acquire and test the Thrustmaster steering wheel with the xim apex because it was advertised to work with. both PS5 and PS4

It's almost guaranteed that it registers itself as a G29, which is a specialty PS4 controller that should work in PS5 racing games, but not DualSense-locked games.

You mean the Thrustmaster will register itself as a Logitech G29?

It'll be seen as a Thrustmaster, but will likely use the same specialty PS4 controller communication protocol as the G29.

It won't have specialised PS5 controller encryption, nor will it be granted open-slather to play DualSense games.

Aren't there any 'DualSense' racing games? (Or are these just FPS games...?) If there were a DualSense racing game, I'd be pretty disappointed to buy my new ThrustMaster and not be able to use it.

^ I don't believe so. They appear to be pretty good at allowing specialty controllers for specific genres (Fighting/Racing)

Yes via Remote Play or Beloader, both are very solid options nowadays.

Sony removed that from most PS5 games, some old titles like D2 still work that way but pretty much all newer games dont. A few new PS5 controllers from hori have been spotted and will be released later this year, maybe those will make a difference.

Just looking to clarify here folks.....

My sons about to go away on holiday for a week so i was going to pinch his PS5 for the week, hook it up to my gaming monitor and download Warzone for a wee blast.

Will my XIM Apex work yet on this? Not going to bother with hassle or big downloads if it is all in vain :-)

I have his old PS4 controllers if i can use them ? Anyone confirm? Thankyou.

There is no PS5 version of Warzone so I'm pretty sure it will still work.
