Debating between the razer tartarus v2 or pro. Anyone know if the analog switches register properly and *feel like thumbsticks* through the xim apex? Thanks in advance

No, XIM see's keyboards as digital devices (not analog). However, I think some of the analog keyboards allow you to emit different keystrokes based on how far a key is pressed.

Some analog switches work on XIM (e.g. Wooting One, Wooting Two), whereas others don't (Cooler Master ControlPad requires PC software).

I'm not sure about Razer analog switches, but I own a Wooting and a ControlPad. Analog kb switches are pretty twitchy and have large deadzones, so analog input is difficult to control.

A better XIM solution is to use Simulate Analog Behaviour, or an analog device like a Sony Nav controller or Azeron keypad.
