[Q/A] XIM4 Backup config
« on: 02:15 PM - 06/27/20 »
Is there any way to view the contents of a xim4 backup config? (The file is called XIM4Backup.ximcb)

I can open a file that's been backed up via notepad but the contents show hieroglyphics   ???

I want to know what settings I had before!

No, it's in a binary format. You can't restore it?

No, I am unable to restore my config as it just corrupts my XIM4. Are these the right steps to restoring a config?:

1. Download latest firmware application
2. Plug in XIM4 while holding P into computer
3. Click restore config
4. Unplug and plug it into PS4

Once I do all these steps, my XIM4 Corrupts and starts blinking red green and blue

Ok, this means that there are issues with the configs that are backed up. Do you remember which version of firmware you were using when you did the backup? If so, I'd go back to that version and try to restore Configs again.
