MW aim mechanic problem FIX. (OP UPDATED)
« on: 09:13 AM - 05/16/20 »
Kinda disappointed there hasn't been any response from the XIM team about the Aim mechanic change in MW. But let me share something with you guys.

I've been trying to find a way to counter-act the "loose ADS" feeling a lot of us have been dealing with lately and I've made the following changes to my ST setup and all of a sudden my aiming is back on track and it feels responsive and accurate..

1. First and foremost drop your current ADS sensitivity a bit to a level to where you still feel like you can control it comfortably i use XIM ADS sens 440 but this may vary, as long as it feels responsive and comfortable id go with it. The purpose of this is to smooth out the loose feeling we're getting under our current set ups. We're trying to counter act the changes and the ADS aiming does feel a bit more loose, so by slowing it down you're dialing it back in.
2. I changed my dead zone to 0.04  (from default 0.05)
3. And this is probably where i saw most of the change... for my ADS i changed my steady aim from 0 to 5.

All of a sudden I'm snapping again and I'm back on my game after a few days of unpredictable aiming. I was wondering if you guys could try what i did and tell me if you get the same result and we can build together to see if this is something that actually works. Give it a try and if you can report back. I'm looking forward to the feedback!

For those of you who are curious about my current set up I'm using a blend between the MJFAME setup and my custom curve. I'm going to post it for the people who'd like to follow the setup in its entirety. Let me tell you it's been amazing to me and this is a setup I'm going to stick with. Seems like we're always looking for the next best thing but thats also affecting our muscle memory and our accuracy, find something thats smooth close range / mid and long range like this is for me and stick to it.

the set up I'm using is the following :

I run a Logitech G502
800 dpi mouse
1000 hz polling rate mouse
1000 hz XIM

IN GAME SETTINGS :

Sensitivity : Max
Curve : default
Aim assist : Default.
Dead zone : 0.04

XIM HIP SETTINGS:

Hip sens : 500 (yes, i know it sounds crazy lol - trust the setup, it works)
Synchronize : OFF (make sure its OFF and not default, otherwise it'll feel really fast)
Smoothing : 20 (which is the max)
Y/X Ratio : 1.00
steady aim : 0
boost : 0
Simulate Analog Behavior (SAB) - OFF  (PLEASE REMEMBER SAB 0 AND SAB OFF AND DIFFERENT MAKE SURE TO SET IT TO "Off")

XIM ADS SETTINGS:

activation / deactivation delay 224

ADS sens: 440
Synchronize : OFF
Smoothing : 20
Y/X Ratio : 1.00
Steady aim : 5 (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT - ADS ONLY)
Simulate Analog Behavior (SAB) - OFF (PLEASE REMEMBER SAB 0 AND SAB OFF AND DIFFERENT MAKE SURE TO SET IT TO "Off")

THIS CURVE IS FOR BOTH HIP AND ADS

Yeah brother give it a try, it is the MJFAME setup as stated in the initial post but instead we drop in my curve, adjust the deadzone and steady aim and sensitivity for ADS. - let me know how it feels for you 🙌🙌🙌

Knew there was something off with the aim recently!
Tried your entire settings and safe to say these are what we’ve needed. Aim feels snappy and consistent again, no matter the range.
Thank you for this Tony!

As I stated in the other topic. It's not on xims side.

It's all over Twitter. Since the deadzone update u don't get aim assist slowdown while fast horizontal aiming over someone, and with vertical aiming u do. So there is a aim assist bug in the game itself. Look it up. It's all over the inet right now. You can test this in private match with a friend.

Might be true but the ST is still broken. I've noticed inconsistent AA behavior too but Aim Assist is not the real problem here. Everything feels floaty and inaccurate even when I aim at a random object or wall. Turning around is unpredictable etc...

Obviously not a XIM side issue, thats not what anyone is saying. We're stating that the aim mechanics have changed in game and for the ST to be retrained to dial in the games new settings. It's definitely an aim assist issue, its been recorded and demonstrated on various videos, thats the "loose" feeling i was referring to when i aim from left to right, the config i run now counter-acted it and i dont feel that anymore. I'm playing normally.

Yea, so I'm just logging in to say that, this is 100% without a doubt the best settings I have tried by far. I made slight adjustments to the profile sensitivity, but thats it.
Really enjoying how responsive this feels, I owe you a beer.

That's what i love to hear!!!!! - So just an update for everyone i feel like the aiming issue with the aim assist has been fixed - so i turned my ADS sensitivity back up to 500 and i put my steady aim back to 0 (from 5). Not sure if its making a difference but u can try it and see what u like better. I'm glad you're happy with the setup. I loved MJFAME's set up but my Venom Curve really set it off for me, so happy with how they work together. - ENJOY BRO! if i change anything i will updated the OP. And make sure that beer is FROSTY! lol
