Xbox Series X/S Controller Support: Support for Xbox Series X/S controllers on either
Xbox Series X/S or
Xbox One is currently available using our
BETA firmware.
This update replaces firmware 20200203 and fixes a phantom input and red light flashing issue that people using KBAM input switchers were experiencing.
IMPORTANT: This
firmware requires Manager 20190719 or later in order
to access all features.
Manager available in your device's App Store is up-to-date and is designed to work with this firmware. Please use the links below.
ANDROID USERS: Android
requires your Location Services be active in order to be able to search for and connect to Bluetooth LE devices (like XIM APEX). XIM Manager
never uses your location.
You can disable your Location Services after you've connected to your XIM APEX.
● Micro-aim optimizations: XIM's Smart Translation system has been updated to better support variances between how game developers model micro-aim in some games. In particular, inconsistency of micro-aim due to low stick resolution (PlayStation 4). Those games affected by this have been updated and Smart Translators revised accordingly.
● Support for Xbox Elite Series 2: Can be used on Xbox One as the console authentication controller (
wired), or, on other consoles as a cross console controller (
wired or
wireless).
● Xbox One controller initialization improvements: Some controllers may still need Guide pressed after XIM start-up to complete initialization.
● Deactivation Delay improvements: Fixes an inconsistency with Deactivation Delay that affected games that require it's use. See our
game settings list for details on games that need this setting.

Firmware 20190719 | Manager 20190719This is a build that, based on community request, brings in the
Boost setting and
Steady Aim experimental test feature from XIM4. It also includes a new feature for keyboard users:
Simulate Analog Behavior. These are
advanced features that should be used with caution as they
can negatively affect aiming performance if not used correctly. This build also includes a new subconfig
Deactivation Delay feature for games that require it and
Customizable Walk Speed for keyboard movement.
● Steady Aim: Unlike Smoothing which produces uniform mouse stabilization,
Steady Aim forcibly restricts mouse movement into discrete values. Higher values produce a stronger effect.
Located under Aim expert settings.● Boost:
Boost artificially inflates the game's aiming stick dead zone. Be advised that values too large will significantly degrade micro-aiming performance.
Located under Mouse expert settings.● Simulate Analog Behavior: For keyboard users, outputs controller values similar to that of the gamer using a thumbstick. Higher values produce a stronger effect. Set to 'Off' to disable.
Located under Movement expert settings.● Deactivation Delay: Similar to a subconfig's (such as ADS) Activation delay, a Deactivation delay waits for the specified time before it's longer active.
Located under each subconfig's Activation settings.● Deactivation Priority: Prior to this change, when a subconfig is no longer active, return to Hip settings occurs. Now, if there is a subconfig between the active and Hip that is currently activated, it is selected (rather than Hip).
● Customizable Walk Speed: When using a keyboard for movement a walk modifier can be applied to slow movement. This change allows the walk speed to be customized.

● Manager improved Bluetooth connection robustness: Improves both pairing and connection robustness for XIM APEX Manager for iOS.
● Manager displaying incorrect language FIX: Fixes an issue where XIM APEX Manager isn't using the primary language set on the phone/tablet.
● Manager displaying incorrect font FIX: Fixes an issue with some phones/tablets where some of Manager's UI is using a mismatched font.
● EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance updateFirmware 20180402 | Manager 20180402● Game Framerate Synchronization: A new Config setting under Aim (expand '...' to view) called
Synchronize was added. The purpose of this setting is to better align your XIM APEX's operation to the game's input processing loop to improve aiming fidelity. It works at all XIM APEX Response Rates and is available within Expert configuration mode. There are 4 settings you can choose from:
| Default | This is the default and is designed to generally work well on all games and matches the behavior of all XIMs prior to XIM APEX.
|
| Common | If your game runs at 60fps, try this setting. If switching from Default, divide your sensitivity by 2.
|
| Slow | If your game runs at 30fps, try this setting. If switching from Default, divide your sensitivity by 4.
|
| Off | Disables synchronization. Use this setting if you prefer to behavior of the retail XIM APEX firmware.
|
● Smoothing Precision: Mouse smoothing precision improvements. The Smoothing property is available within Expert configuration mode.
● Manager Localization: Manager now includes support for these additional languages:
Chinese (Traditional and Simplified),
French,
Japanese, and
Spanish● Walk speed increased: Keyboard (digital) player walk speed reduced from last build.
● Xbox Party Chat lag FIX: A new setting has been added for Xbox One Configs called
Audio Compatibility Mode located under the Identity section (expand '...' to view) within Expert mode. Enable this setting if you are having any audio lag issues while using Party Chat.
● PlayStation 4 mic distortion FIX: Fixes a sound distortion issue with mic usage on PlayStation 4.
● Xbox One Trigger Full Press FIX: Triggers weren't pressing all the way on Xbox One. Triggers now press to 100%.
● Manager decimal value entry FIX: Fixed issue where decimal value entry (such as sensitivity values) could change by .01 upon commit.
● PC Manager missing component startup failure FIX: Fixed issue with Manager startup where on some PCs would fail due to required dependency conflict.
