So... single player discrepancy.

Anybody else notice this:

The first mission, on the subway.  When that dude pops out and tries to stab you, hes got a H&K UMP on his back.  If you win that fight you end up pushing the dude out off of the train and taking his gun.  When you equip the gun its not a UMP its an AK74.  Lame.  I wanted the UMP.

Hmmm.. I didn't notice this on the PC.

Mw3 spawns are so bad that I was playing on Seatown and spawned in Dome. hahaha sry

Three more hours at work and I can go and finally go and buy BF3! A game that's developed in Europe and released earlier in USA... where's the sense O.O

Decided to take the plunge and get a new pc for bf3 instead of getting it on console. Bf3 came yesterday and I'm just waiting for my pc, estimated for next week :D

Good call, the PC version is EPIC! The only thing that sucks right now is the webpage/battle console still has issues. But the gameplay is smooth and looks beautiful on the PC.

I bought it for PC and X360 as well. PC graphics are amazing indeed, never seen a game look this good.
The majority of my friends play it on Xbox however, so I'll probably end up playing it more on that.

so... played PC single player briefly the other night -
my notebook (desktop replacement technically) blows (annoying considering it was allegedly a "beast" two years ago and expensive as hell).

anyway - for graphics, one setting is on high, everything else is either Low or Off. And it still looks pretty @#$% nice.
this game is sexy.
time to upgrade.

pc version kinda annoys me for the moment, turns out overclocked cards like my gtx 560 ti oc have major nvidia driver issues, the game crashes every 3-5 minutes cause the gpu is reseted (display driver doesnt respond)
you either underclock your cards to the reference regular clockrates, or you wait for a newer gefore driver

a bit retarded but oh well...
(a single 560 ti can max out the game, no need for a sli 590 as some people claimed)

My 6870 can run ultra settings at around 40fps. Pretty @#$% good for what it is. I just leave the gfx on high and hover around 60fps

On xbox 360 I rename this game to pronefield 3... Or campfield 3. Its fun but I dont always feel like camping.
Ice... 15ml lime cordial... 1 dash angostura bitters... 2 oz 100% agave tequila... top off with sprite or 7 up

I suppose they might be referring to multiple monitor setups or frap recording while playing at high ultra settings.

I run it fine with my GTX480. I plan to use my second DVI as duplicate of my primary monitor I use to play BF3 and use my Intensity shuttle to record. From what I read, I don't have to worry about the lag.

Hai, if you're seriously getting 40fps on Ultra with a 6870, I can't wait till I upgrade the rest of my PC... It's bottlenecked to the point of a 6950 getting 45 on high!

OMG....flaming people with the EOD bot is effin hilarious.  It's like my counter-sniper weapon.  All I do is plop beside well known sniper spots and wait.  I feel like I'm roasting marshmallows for smores lmfao.

Yeah, on ultra it averages 40fps.  I can't record smoothly though, frame rate drops to about 20-25 so I just set it high and it hovers around 60 and recording drops it to 45-50fps.

Other's with similar set-ups running dual 6870's are reporting over 60fps on ultra and around 80 on high.  I may have to pick up another one when I can score a good deal again.

+1

I'm really really trying to like this game.
but so far it's just aggravating. trying to get my friends in the same squad is a crapshoot at best and most of the time I can't even see my enemies. and yes, I've adjusted my contrast/brightness on my tv as well as in-game.
