hmmm im also thinking 580's might be like ULTRA ultra if you get what i mean...

im thinking with two 6950s you should be able to do 1080 with ultra textures, shaders, dx11 jazz
but might have to turn down/off things like AA and AO...

should at least pull 60 average with that because with BC2 two 6950s is somewhere around 120fps ( im probably wrong just guessing )

i guess we wont know till people start betaing, but even then bc2 had a ton of problems and months later when things were patched and drivers kept getting better...

*hope*

Well considerng that the 580 is more powerful than the 6950 I could imagine that it might be ultra isn't achievable at 1080 on the pc with 2*6950. Or it may be that the 580 on its own might struggle but two would blast it ... therefore the 6950s in xfire might have a chance. I'm still reasonably hopeful - I get over 10k on 3dmark 11 so I live in optimism!

:)

Wait what? In the recommended it recommended a 6950 and 2 wont be enough for Ultra?

"@zh1nt0 so can you tell us if the recommended system requirements are enough to run the game on ultra?
@bkohn1 recommended is usually medium"

"@zh1nt0 so would one GTX580 run it on ultra? Or do I need two of them?
@bkohn1 2"

Sigh.. 2x 580s for Ultra? @ 1080P? I'd hate to drop 4-5 bills again for another 580. I'm still hurting over my first one.

Heh, I guess you're right. I doubt, I'll have enough time to stop and admire the crap out of things.

I never get why whenever a big technological showcase starts getting hyped people build PCs with hardware that's been on the market for a while to play it. It's always best to wait for CPUs/GPUs that launch around or soon after the graphical powerhouse.

I built mine back in April as my last machine was about 5 years old. I wanted a new pc for numerous reasons, including being able to run newer games - without one in particular in mind.

In BC2 I get about 130fps with graphics maxed out on one 6950.

I took it as a given that these would be the restrictions. Hope its been worth the wait. One of the developed has said they are expecting at least "80%" on metacritic. Hardly aiming high huh?
