I'll probably just grab a dx11 card at minimum, maybe a little more ram too.

i7 860
4gb ddr3 @ 1600mhz
9800gtx+

Here are system min and recommended for BF3.
Seems coders are getting better at optimising games for current mid level HW :)

Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows Vista or Windows 7
Processor: Core 2 Duo @ 2.0GHz
RAM: 2GB
Graphic card: DirectX 10 or 11 compatible Nvidia or AMD ATI card.
Graphics card memory: 512 MB
Hard drive: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version

Recommended System Requirements
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
RAM: 4GB
Graphics card: DirectX 11 Nvidia or AMD ATI card, GeForce GTX 460, Radeon Radeon HD 6850
Graphics card memory: 1 GB
Hard drive: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version

Thatís not too bad for a game that looks as good as BF3 does. Seriously, Iíd have expected higher requirements, but thatís Frostbite 2 for you. Rockiní.

Yeah I know it's a weird combo. When I upgraded my mobo and cpu I kept the same card, but hey it ran bc2 with 50-70fps so thats all that matters. BC2 is one of those weird port games that relies more on cpu power than gpu.

DICE said that they haven't released the system requirements/recommended setting yet.  Everything so far is speculation!  ;)

I'm a bit worried that they didn't openly show any console footage at E3.
XIM4 + Run and Gun = Fun.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPu7-LtLKmU

here a quote from the video

"Note that the killfeed in thisvideo is in the top left, while in the E3 PC booth gameplay, the killfeed is in the top right, which is usual for Battlefield games. John Riccitiello, CEO of Electronic Arts hinted that there was bits of console footage thrown into some of the E3 teasers

This thursday on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, they will be presenting Battlefield 3 on the consoles if you want to wait until then"

If thats console footage, ill eat my pants!

On one hand it could well be console footage...... Last year we were introduced to the slick console graphics for Brink. Look how that turned out!

Either way, I cant see how this game can fail...............did I just jinx it...?

*crosses fingers*

my 480 pulls around 100fps with max dx11 (60 av with 32x csaa) settings for bc2 so im hoping this rumor is true, my 480 is already looking pretty outdated with the cards that have been coming out recently  :'(

bc2 had a rough start with DX11 last time around, im pretty sure it will be fine however it seems BF3 is a lot of too good to be true news recently... kinda scared because this a big game for the PC shooter genre

please oh please dont be another black ops!  ::)
