[RESOLVED] My new Xim Apex suddenly stop working on PS4

Hello! This weekend my Xim apex arrived.

I configured everything and it worked fine for like a hour.

After that XIM apex stopped working. And the fix for this is unplug and replug the apex.

I was searching here and a lot of people said I should buy an external power source (5v) for the HUD. I did. everything is connected but it keeps "desconnecting".

The PS4 keeps detecting it as connected so Im not seeing any "Reconnect the Controller at Fortnite, ApexLegends or Smite". But when i press keys on my Keyboard or Buttons on my mouse XIM apex is not reporting it to PS4.

However when I right click (ADS in fortnite) Xim apex detects it and change its led lights just like described here:

So resumed:

I have xim apex fully configurated.
Port 1 Mouse
Port 2 Keyboard
Port 3 Controller
A power source connected to the hub with the right voltage.
When I play xim apex works fine for like 5 - 15 mins then stop working, but not desconnecting from ps4.

I've tried to connect the controller directly into XIM apex and everything it works fine theres no problem

I updated my xim apex to the last firmware, even try Factory Reset, keep working bad.

Welcome to the community.

Check that PS4 > Settings > Devices > Controllers > Communication Method is set to Use USB Cable. This is required to prevent the PS4 from timing out the DualShock 4 connected to XIM APEX every 10 minutes.

Also, please view the Quick Start guide at https://xim.tech/start as it covers how to setup XIM APEX correctly on PS4 and XB1.

A couple of other things to check are to ensure the DS4 is fully charged before connecting to XIM APEX, and to try a different data & power micro-USB cable from the DS4 to XIM APEX. Undercharged controllers and faulty USB cables are by far the most common issues and are easy to test.

About the power and data micro usb cable.

I am about to go to the store and buy a new USB data cable for my PS4 controller comunication with XIM

But what specs should I check or how I make sure it is a high quality cable?

It should be usb 2.0 or 3.0?

Just make sure it says "data" somewhere on the packaging and is micro-USB.

USB 2.0 is recommended, the only devices that use USB 3.0 are external hard drives, video capture cards and some audio devices like GoXLR. All gaming accessories (mice, controllers, keyboards) are USB 2.0

It worked!

I bought an 5V power sorce for the XIM HUB and now I can use my keyboard with LEDs!

And I bought a high quality USB -> Micro usb with data and everything works fine!
