[ACTIVE] My mouse isn't moving
« on: 03:07 PM - 01/24/20 »
Hi everyone, I have just set up my XIM apex to my PS4 and I am on rainbow six siege. My keyboard is working properly and my mouse buttons are working but I can't move with my mouse. My mouse is the Logitech G520 Hero. Would any be able to help me with this? Thanks

Welcome to the community. In some cases it helps to swap the mouse and keyboard cable positions at the hub. If this doesn't help then testing other data cables with the controller is the next step.

Thanks for that info. Unfortunately when I switched the keyboard and mouse cables it did not work. And it didn't work when I switched out the usb for the controller. The problem I'm having is to where my cursor isn't moving when I'm at game, if that makes sense. All the buttons work on my mouse in game but I'm unable to turn left, right, down, up with my mouse. On the apex manager in the edit configure, it shows a movement setting labeled "right stick" that I am trying to set my mouse to but can't seem to.

Yes I understand, this is a common issue and can usually be resolved using the two steps mentioned before. The mouse is bound to the right stick by default, there is no need to assign it in your config. The right stick assignments you see in the config are for assigning keys to each joystick direction.

When the mouse isn't moving are you in a game controlling a character or are you in a game menu?

The next thing to try would be to create a new config without making changes to the new config. Also, it would be useful to know if this happens if APEX is started with only the controller attached and then only the mouse is connected once APEX has finished starting up.

When my mouse isn't moving, it is in a game controlling a character, to be specific, a first person shooter game rainbow six siege. I made a new config without making any changes and it still didn't solve the problem. And I had my mouse, keyboard and controller cables connected to the APEX hub before plugging it into the APEX usb. I then attempted to start the APEX usb up with just the controller connected to the APEX hub and waited until it finished setting up, then I connected the mouse to it and still wouldn't work.

I would like to add that my mouse movement actually works on other games and it does not work on rainbow six siege. So when I started up rainbow six siege on my PS4 I had a different games config enabled and my mouse movement worked, but wasn't smooth at all. So my mouse movement works if I have a different games config enabled in order to play rainbow six siege. I've tried to make multiple different rainbow six siege config's and my mouse movement still wouldn't work. Would anyone be able to assist with my problem?

I figured out my problem. Its actually kind of embarrassing. I had some settings to high to where I couldn't move my mouse. Thanks for all the assistance.
