hi OBsIV,

after yesterday's MW update, a weird bug or issue I noticed.. I left my mouse idle for 10 mins while I was on MW menu and it automatically disconnected. Is there any deactivation time or power saving feature in Xim apex?
It's very random but happened twice since yesterday hence reporting.
Mouse: logitech G502 PS

Thanks

No, we don't have anything like that. Could you tell me if this happens when letting your XIM sit idle in the dash or any other game?

Checked with other games(rainbow,  Apex, Assassin's creed Odyssey etc., mouse behaviour was normal. No issues.

Tested more and my previous observation was wrong.
Its happening with other games too.
Today it happened with R6S.
Its definitely not an issue with PS4 USB ports, PS4 charging cable & Mouse.
Tried changing the USB hub, but same results.
Any suggestions or permanent fix?

Short term fix is just unplug mouse and re-plug to USB hub.

This happens to me all the time on Xbox, specially if I leave the Xim/controller untouched for a given time. The controller shuts off and I have to just replug Xim back in and it's good to go.
Sometimes my mouse (Model O) disconnects when I disconnect my headset.

This only happens to me when I have a faulty USB cable from the controller to XIM APEX.

Hmm, I might change my cable then, I've been using the same USB cable for many years. Is there a USB cable that's "better" than just a standard one?
Doesn't this happen to you at all? If I turn my Xbox on then leave it for half an hour or so at the dashboard, 90% of the time my controller has turned off. I thought this was due to inactivity or something. I don't see this as a problem though as it never happens when I play.

I tried with 2 cables but same results.
Now it could be a possible case where both cables are faulty but I highly doubt that.
Also the controller and Xim functions perfectly fine after plugging and unplugging the mouse. If cable will be faulty,  wouldn't it affect normal functioning?
Is there any way to test Microusb cables?

There is no Manager in Beta right now.
Get the most out of your XIM APEX, read the XIM APEX Support FAQ.

About a month ago started to notice some unusual behavior: once in while Xim lost connection with mouse. Didn't bother at all but rate kept growing.

Today i wasn't able to make Xim work at all. Xim behaves the following way:
- at first it reports my mouse correctly in the Manager app(i'm on latest beta)
- most of the times, a keypress from mouse would be "stuck" on any game page.
- keyboard works.
- disconnects mouse(no icon in manager) in less that a minute.
- no input from mouse

I've tried nearly all troubleshooting advice across this board: tried another controller, cables, altered default port connection recomendations(swapped k & m, tried to connect separately, precharged DS4, turned led off, etc). both k & m are from steelseries. both report 1000MHz, mouse - 800 dpi.

Help needed.
thx

Update: found the troublemaker - usb extender cabel between PS and Xim.

I don't know why I didn't think it could be it, but it was literally the last part))
Anyway, thanks!))

Mouse calibration is done using the supported drivers and the company’s software if there is one. XIM would not be able to do that for you. You would need to calibrate then put your mouse in On-board memory mode. If you cannot do that then more than likely you’ll need a new mouse for better XIM performance. Some mouses are just absolute s*** on the XIM.
