Did you enable Expert mode?

Strange that would produce erratic results. Did you change the deadzone sizes of the sticks in Manager or the Elite 2 itself?

updated firmware but I still have to press the xbox button for it to initialize controller. Stock controller that came with xbox one x but newest controller firmware. 

Thanks. Can you tell us the model number on the controller and also the controller firmware version you are using?

I have not been able to get the Elite Controller to work with my PS4.

I have installed the November 13 beta firmware. I have my DS4 in USB mode, plugged into the 3rd port on the USB hub. I wait for the PS4 to power up, and plug in the xim apex. I have the Elite Series 2 controller, I hold down the pairing until the icon is flashing fast. I hit the button on the xim to try and connect bluetooth, and nothing ever happens. I also can not get the controller to work plugged into the USB hub.

Any tips for what I might be doing wrong?

There are issues with Bluetooth right now that we've discovered. We are working on it.

So i dont see the need to update for ps4 users. Its more for xbox players?

What scenario are you using it in? If you are using it wired, it should be working without issue. Are you using it wireless via cross console on a PS4?

I have the latest firmware installed on the controller.  he did that automatically when I connected it to the computer.  at xim apex I have the ps4 controller at port 1 and the xbox controller elite 2 connected at port 3 is on.  the app also recognizes the aka xbox controller but it does not work.  am I doing something wrong ?

I also installed the beta firmware, plugged my elite series 2 into the xim and it worked perfect. Now it won't work at all. It recognises that there's an xbox controller plugged in, but button presses don't register in the GUI of the app.

The only thing I can think of that might have messed with it a bit is I tried to connect it via bluetooth to the xim and it hasn't worked since.

can you say what we are doing wrong?  and if there is a chance that the controller works with xim apex?  if not then I'll send it back unfortunately.
