Going to test 250 Hz when I get home from work since I play on PS4. I have about a sweet hour before the kid get home. I can do the dishes in three minutes and game out for 57.
I've made the switch using the exact same settings and only changing the polling. It is much slower. I'm using a 19 mouse sensitivity and that still isn't enough. So, at the moment I don't have an opinion. I have to find the perfect mouse sensitivity. But, it isn't bad. I just need more acceleration on my swipes like at 125 Hz. I'm going to give it a little more time. I'll probably find my speed between 19 and 25 i assume.

I've tested sync off plain Jane config with no smoothing, 125hz on xbox and 250hz on ps4 and all i can say is WOW. much more consistent. albeit i had xim3 upon its early days in 2009 and played with that until xim4 and then switched to apex when it released so maybe im biased. but i do play pc fps like csgo and siege, etc. and im well above the average joe for aiming. all i can say is you cannot miss your shots and its so much easier to predict with these settings even though AA is there, its not hindering my game, its helping it even more. i dont think i need to dust off my xim4 or 3 to test further. im happy with these results!
Glad to see this! This goes to show how powerful vanilla can be on the perfect 125 Hz or 250 Hz with the right sync. I'm still trying to find my way with 250 Hz. I am not missing shots as you've stated I just need more speed. This topic turned out to be a great one.

I did the same thing Iast week after this thread started. I went from 125, 250, 500, 1000 with sync off. What I found was that 125 was the stickiest but 1000 was the most responsive (no surprise there) that and some smoothing was needed at high sens to reduce jitter on higher poIIing.

If you want to try them aII yourseIf it's x2 250  x4 500 and x8 1000

Yea, i do want to experirment further with off sync. Thanks for this helpful info. Specifically 250 Hz. I'm very interested in this polling rate now.

Thanks to idkwtf I was able to find the perfect sensitivity and 250 hz feels great! More added AA. I like it.

Ps4 native polling is indeed insane. 8 kills per game on Apex Legends. Massive increase.

I've said from day dot that going from 125Hz to 250Hz on PS4 is the XIM APEX game-changer. Use 500 and 1000Hz only if you want less AA, there isn't a significant performance benefit to be gained.

Something else to contemplate is that XB1 console USB protocol polls at 250Hz. The controller however only responds to every second tick making it 125Hz, likely for longer battery life.

Maybe try 250Hz on XB1 too to see if it's any better or worse.

Great recommendation. You were most certainly right by a long shot. I've been playing around with the titan 2 and found a sweet input and output polling rate as well. So it feels just like the dualshock 4 now. Thanks!

Ok so here's what ive tried. Xim apex: 125 Hz, + OFF Sync, Mouse: 500hz, Mouse DPI: 12000k - absolutely shredding kids! First game got 8 kills, 2360 DMG. back to back to back SOLID high kil / DMG games. I did notice i had 200% SAB on too (Copy my settings  + keybindings from old profile i was using, where others had recommended 200% SAB )....what are people using for SAB?  0%, off or up to 100? Really eager digging into this even more!
XIM APEX / Consoles: XBOX X, PS4 Pro / Mouse: Logitech G Pro; 12k DPI, 1000Hz Polling + Logitech G903 12k DPI, 1000hz Polling / Keyboard: Logitech G603 / Monitor: LG 32UD99, 32" 4k IPS, Freesync w/ HDR10 + ASUS ROG PG27UQ,  IPS, 144Hz, GSYNC. | | |  PC SPECS: CPU: 7700k GPU: RTX 2080Ti / RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB LED 32GB

OMG!!!
Dusted off the Xim 4 today for kicks & giggles
& I have to say.
Other than ( not having the tweaking options Apex has )
Xim4 is the more responsive machine!
Straight up & down, black & white, no special effects added.
I don’t know what it is.
I mean I love my Apex.
But “@#$%” my Xim 4 just feels GOOD !!!

Right, it's a wonderful feeling! And the goof thing about it is that we can set 9ur xim apex to function the same way. Try it on the apex and 250 Hz as well both are really good. I don't see any cons with either two polling rates. The only difference in my opinion is that 125 Hz cuts AA better than 250 Hz. On off sync.

So Apex 125hz sync off vs XIM4 is not the same? How comes? What is the explanation of 128hz better than 500ht or 1000hz? Jitterfree goes better through jelly or what? No jitter at 128hz?

Crusade atm: XIM Mouse that is stable 1000hz at 12000 or higher no delays by smoothing. XIM APEX is ridiculous without a XIM Mouse.

That confuses me a bit shouldnt higher hz cut through AA more not the opposite??
