Xim + Elgato HD60S

Hey guys,

I want to record my gameplay + party audio with my xim + elgato HD60s (i dont own the elgato yet)
Does anyone run this setup and does it work at all? I play with the sony playstation usb headset (blue one) but i don't think i will be able to record audio this way, am i correct?
I tried putting the lil headphone in my controller to see if the aux was working when my xim is plugged in but it is not. (im using a new controller with the lightbar on the touchpad, ive read somewhere this would work but it does not to my knowledge.

is there any way i can make this work?

I'm not familiar with the Sony headset (I use stro 40s w/ mixmp) but after  bit of searching i'm seeing that the headset comes with (Audio cable 3.5mm)?

 If this is the case, you can order the (elgato chat link) or something similar and you'd setup your elgato as normal (with some settings adjustments) but then you'll plug the 3.5mm audio cable into the one end of the splitter, the 2nd end of the split (3.5mm audio) into your controller and the the splitter aka chat link plugs into your elgato.

Aww this is something that I'm unaware of then.. I don't know if its due to the xim, I'm assuming the aux port works when your (not) using the xim.
I'd wait for one of the mods or mvp status people to reply. They usually got the answers to these things. I'm sure there's something that can be done.
