just looking through new mouse pads that im considering to buy and i came up with this mouse pad. supposedly its similar to the shidenkai (which i own and like) and is cheaper.

has anyone tried this pad and what would they say its like (if possible to the shidenkai)?

I have the AMP500, but not the shidenkai.

The Gigabyte pad is excellent. It's a good halfway house between the control of a soft pad and the speed of a hard.
The best pad to offer a similar feel is the Steelseries Dex. It's not quite as fast as a Dex, but it is bigger, and I needed something bigger.
If you want speed, but you're not prepared to sacrifice control to get it, buy a Dex. If you're an arm-swiper, like me, get an AMP500.

Where's HL3?

Have an AMP500 myself as well as numerous other mouse mats (Dex, Logitech, CoolerMaster MP510 etc...) and for me, this one works the best.  Large surface, sticks to the desk brilliantly (the MP510 is absolutely dire in this respect!), and nice feel with the mouse movement.
