Welcome to the community. Do you see your mouse power up when directly connected to your XIM APEX? If not, where did you buy it from? The reason I ask is because it wouldn't be possible to make it out of the factory if the downstream USB port wasn't supplying power.

If APEX isn't powering devices there may be a contact issue between APEX and console. Try using APEX in another console port and verify that it's fully inserted into the port.

Shot in the dark, can the controller or anything else what so every be preventing this from happening? Cause its just really odd.  Ive watched videos where right out the box guys plugs hub to apex then to the xbox an the hubs light comes on....  I dont have that lol

No, this is caused by your APEX not your controller. It should be able to power devices. Unfortunately sometimes APEX units like yours can be returned broken and resold on Amazon by third parties. This can be repaired though, to request a repair please open a ticket using the link below.

I'm sorry to hear that. Customers that are experiencing issues with their device are referred to our support forum here. Most issues are setup related and can be fixed remotely, if they can't  be solved remotely you are then referred an RMA. This saves the customer time in the event that they return a working product only to find out 3-5 business days later that their unit is working great and the issue is setup related on the user side.

Yes, we do recommend purchasing direct from our shop if you can. It can be cheaper, the warranty is easier to use, and each unit sold from our shop is tested before being sent to a customer. I don't know the details about how third parties are able to resell returns but we once had an Amazon customer contact us complaining about receiving a damaged XIM4 unit that had it's internals removed, swapped and superglued back together. If something like that can get past their QA and be resold then I can see an issue like not powering devices easily slip past as well unfortunately.

XIM Tech does not replace XIMs sold by Amazon third-parties, a repair may be offered at the customer's expense.

If a dodgy Amazon or eBay seller (i.e most of them) intentionally resells a broken XIM, your best course of action is to get a refund from Amazon or eBay.

The safest and smartest way to buy a XIM is direct from this site, or from an official distributor listed on this site. Everyone else is a cowboy - you're basically forfeiting your warranty and rolling the dice on a broken XIM by buying on Amazon or eBay from a random third-party seller.

It's unfortunate that XIM Tech cops a reputation hit in situations like this when they had nothing to do with the transaction, nor the faulty XIM unit.

Long story short - buyer beware on Amazon and eBay.
