I was about to download this beta version when I got a message warning it contains spy program/malware and that message doesn't show up when I download the previous beta. It's not my PC so couldn't risk trying this one. Honestly I deleted all beta stuff and downloaded the official firmware. Anyone had the same message?

if you are on ps4 Try 0.11 deadzone in game settings. Feels better

I was about to download this beta version when I got a message warning it contains spy program/malware and that message doesn't show up when I download the previous beta. It's not my PC so couldn't risk trying this one. Honestly I deleted all beta stuff and downloaded the official firmware. Anyone had the same message?

There is no malware in anything we release. Your AV is false triggering because the firmware update tool contains encrypted binary streams and it's not smart enough to know the difference. Are you using Mcafee?

Ok, yes, McAfee unfortunately has a lot of issues like this. As mentioned the firmware is encrypted so it has a lot of unusual looking sequences in it (gibberish -- intentionally as it's encrypted). McAfee is scanning it and finding a pattern in there that it seems to think matches something it knows. But, it's not bothering to check if the binary stream is part of an executable code sequence or another format that could be a security risk -- which it is not. Windows Defender (which is built into Windows) doesn't trigger on this because it understands what it is (and what it isn't).

Ok, Thanks for the explanation. To be clear I didn't think you guys would put any malware or stuff like that init. It wouldn't make any sense.. only asked to double check if there could be any risk of some outsider manedge to bypass encryption etc but now I know it's safe 😁

I don't know about Fortnite, but this Beta Firmware is running as smooth as it ever has on PUBG, COD, Ghost Recon and Vigor.
