[ACTIVE] Connection issue

When I turn on my ps4 and plug in my xim apex, it flashes green and all the devices light up, and turn on, but the mouse and keyboard donít work inside or outside the game and Iíve already configured it all on xim apex manager

It has been working in the past, it just wonít now

Please disconnect and reconnect XIM to the console while watching XIM's startup light sequence. Do you see 4 green lights during this sequence? This indicates controller authentication and is needed for your mouse and keyboard to function. For reference the startup light sequence should look similar to this:

red, green, blue
red
green, green, green, green
red

If you do not see 4 green lights at startup and you have spare cables please test other cables with the controller.

Also, is the console communication method set to USB instead of bluetooth? This is required if the controller supports it.

Settings > Devices > Controllers > Communication Method

Yes, the green lights flash and it is set to usb

Great, passthrough should be working. Which icons do you see at the top of Manager and do your key and button presses show in Manager below the game picture?

Also, could you please share your setup so we can learn more about the issue? Please include both the brand and model.

extras: extended usb cables, third party usb hub, usb switch, titan or cronus device?

Corsair mouse and keyboard, and the mouse is working now but when I touch the keyboard, the keyboard freezes up

Are they LED lit? If so this could be power related. It sometimes helps high power setups to connect devices in sequence. Try starting Apex with only the controller attached, then attach the mouse and keyboard.

They are lit up and the mouse works perfectly but the keyboard lights up but everything freezes when I try to use it while itís connected. It all used to work, but it just wonít anymore

K keyboards may need to enter bios mode before they can be used. Press and hold Windows Lock + F1 for a few seconds after startup. Try this with a fresh startup.

Iíve tried that but it freezes up and the buttons donít register

It was worth a shot. This step may still be necessary. Sometimes it helps if you set your keyboard to use a less complicated lighting profile and less backlit keys. I've reproduced the same issue with a k95. Try removing the lighting profile in iCue. If this doesn't help I would recommend testing against a power issue next.
