Xim Apex + Elgato Chatlink = Electronic Buzzing

Hi,

Like i stated in the headline. I get a buzzing sound when using elgato chatlink + xim apex plugged into controller.

Any known solution for this?

Mine was doing the same with PC audio and Console Audio combined via the Astro A40 Mixamp. I never fixed it but I did read an article that said if one device was plugged in to one wall outlet, while the other device was plugged in to another outlet, this issue could happen.

 which was exactly how mine was setup, Console and Mixamp to outlet #1 while PC / aux cord from PC to outlet #2

Never tried setting it back up with all devices only getting power from one outlet, if you can, that may fix it. Also read that low quality 3.5mm connectors could cause this. I did try buying some "higher quality" ones from Amazon, but it did not fix my issue.

so to my knowledge with el gato chat link is when the controller is plugged into the console then you would get the interference buzz. my only fix was getting a usb headset for my ps4. There are other options you can try can't remember off the top of my head. But it has to to with the el gato chat link cable

all the eletronics that goes to my tv uses the same outlet

im looking into buying a ground loop isolator... but seems like they arent that popular in sweden....

fuk streaming from ps4 is a hassle

the ground loop isolator was the other thing i was thinking. i used an optical usb and could push through audio so that it can be heard in headset and through stream. and also one other thing you can try if using the 3.5mm pole jack is one of the usb audio cards(usb to stereo audio adapter) that will plug into the ps4 usb slot and be recognize as such by the console then just plug the 3.5mm jack into that
