Is 16k overkill?

Just wondering if 16k dpi is over kill and 12k is more than plenty. Has anyone tested to see if 12k and 16k affect dpi the same way. Mouse is Logitech G pro wireless

There’s little effective performance difference between 3k and 12-16k. In some games 12k+ DPI can help to fight the AA bubble, but there’s a higher risk of introducing jitter.

Would you say you can run 3-4K on off sync to help with the aa bubble and it be about the same as 12k with default sync

Depends on the game. It's great for COD but maybe not apex legends or a game with low AA. I like it better with keyboard than with analog controllers. 3200 or 4000 dpi is most comfortable to me though.

What about games with high amounts of AA like fortnite and cod. Is 3-4K off sync good for those games though

From a personal standpoint I will never use low dpi on COD. It doesn't work for me. I can't really speak on fortnite because I'm not a fan. But, I can say that I wouldn't use 3200 dpi or 4000 dpi on a game with super high AA. I want aim assist but I also want to be able to deal damage and snap onto the most threatening target when I play before killing the weaker player. I couldn't personally do that on low dpi's without adding boost. And I hate boost. I may recant this statement when modern warfare drops later this year depending on the look mechanics. But, I've always used 12,000 dpi for COD.
