Steelseries Shift Keyboard
« on: 01:10 AM - 02/24/19 »
Hi all.
I recently purchased a XIM4 to use on my Xbox One X.
I upgraded the firmware to XIM4 Firmware 20171004 and the app says everything is good as in devices connected etc but then the keyboard stops working and the XIM4 flashes yellow one or two times depending what port I have it plugged into.
The mouse still works when this happens.
I had a quick search of the site and one post said it works and another one said it didn`t.
I really don`t want to have to change my keyboard but might have to.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you

Welcome to the community. If your keyboard is working for some time and then it stops working (i.e. you are seeing the USB disconnect error notification yellow lights you are seeing) then I'd say it's likely a physical USB connection issue (not software related).

Does this keyboard work fine with connected to your PC? If you have a hub available, try plugging it into a hub and then hub into your PC to see if the connection is better through your hub.

Thankyou for your reply OBsIV.
The keyboard is fine when it`s connected to the pc.
I have a KVM switch but it`s the same with or without that.
The keyboard has a usb in the back that has a separate lead to power it from the pc but it`s the same with or without that.
I have a hub somewhere that I`ll try.
Thanks again

Thanks, that'll help us know if this is some sort of physical connection problem.
