XIM3 + PS3 without an adapter?

I know that the PS3 is not natively supported by XIM3 so spare me and yourself all that "negative feedback".

Is it possible to plug in the XIM3 to the PS3 and then plug in the kb/m to the XIM3, like it will be on the xbox360?
Or do I have to use an adapter somewhere in between? If thats the case then how should the adapter:

or whatever adapter that is working be connected with the XIM3/PS3?

I think you'll need to attach the xim3 itself to a xbox controller to ps3 input adapter.

You would need an adapter and a wired xbox360 controller. The link you put is for a ps2, so while I can't tell you a good adapter to use that one surely won't.

This is not true.  Although labeled a PS2 adapter on Amazon's site, you'll notice reviewers (including nandox5 from this board) documenting its many other uses.

-1 to flyphil76. Completely useless comment. He asked a perfectly understandable question which too applies to myself. I too have a ps3 and would find it comforting knowing I can take my awesome new extension of my own flesh(XIM3) and use with my ps3. I don't always play the xbox.

If it's not supported natively, then that means YOU NEED AN ADAPTER...but there will be no support because Xbox is what Obsiv is developing for.

Lol. This has been covered so many times before, yet you give the person who says it won't work without an adapter -1 rep out loud. OBsIV himself has said that XIM will stay true to its name; Xbox Input Machine (no support + locked down firmware = need an adapter).

If you game on a PS3 and plan to look for an adapter solution keep an eye on what myersn024 is doing on his blog. From what I've read he plans to work on an xbox - ps3 adapter that will be firmware upgradeable. If it's ever blocked by sony theoretically the adapter would just need a firmware update. I hope he goes through with it because regardless of how many people are in need of it now, there will always be people in need of it in the future.
