G502 HERO Button mapping issues
« on: 10:10 AM - 02/18/19 »
I recently upgraded from a g502 to g502 hero. The issue I'm coming across is that buttons not mapped to regular mouse buttons ie forward, back, middle click, won't work. On my old g502 I used 6,7,8 and a few letters and xim4 registered those commands. Doesn't do so on the hero. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the community. Are you using LGS and have you selected onboard memory before making those changes? Here's a guide that may help.

Connect the mouse to a PC and open LGS. Click the home icon near the bottom. Select onboard memory near the top.

Click the mouse memory icon near the bottom to switch to this screen.

Here you can reassign buttons on the mouse to unused keyboard keys. Choose keys that aren't normally used in your config like: o p k l n m.

I recommend removing the extra DPI levels and profiles on this screen if you don't intend to use them to prevent accidental switching during play.

The only other suggestion I can think to suggest is to try using the logitech ghub software instead.
