I tried Titanfall 2 config and didn’t think they were great. Plus I use a Nav Controller and a mouse so no keyboard. Is there any update to when the Apex Legends config will arrive? Thanks

Hi Alan. Good post 

On the Inventory tutorial however, you have turn assist checked, and the activation key is "mouse forward". What is mouse forward? 

Personal preference, I have the old habit of use the top side mouse button (Mouse Button 4) as a sprint button.

When I'm at a menu or flying a ship(BFV, SWB2) and I need turn assist, my brain feels more natural use this button for "go faster" in this case, turn faster. Beside holding with the thumb is easier. Go with whatever works for you, remember the button mapping is only an example.

I'm also curious as to why mouse forward is used for turn assist?
Why couldn't you use the same key that is used for the Aux profile?

For example if your using G for Ping, you can't use G for the Aux profile and use G for Turn Assist? That way all you would have to do is hold G down and it would activate the Aug profile and Turn assist? Hope this makes sense.

Or maybe doesn't work with the current firmware I'm using. That's why I think will be nice to have that option or the "Apply Turn Assist" on sub-config activation.

When I’m in game, and I click what I have R1 bound to while holding that button my look goes to the analog Nav thumbstick.  Which is working but the config wheel is not coming up.

I swear I have to be one of the dumbest persons around... why am I having so much issues.

Do you mean the L1 button right? (Nav). Which wheel you have on L1? Ping? Health? Grenades?

Thanks for this, I was a little confused as to how it all worked. Hopefully OBsIV could explain if don't work how I thought or he can add the "Apply Turn Assist" to sub-config. That would be great.

Although I'm not remotely interested in playing this game (may change my mind if they add a solo mode) I appreciate all the time that you must have spent putting the guide together. It has a lot of crossover applications for other games where Aux configs are useful.

I have the same question. Is this possible with XIM 4? I have not played the game yet (was waiting for an ST). I have used the similar dial menu on XIM 4 for BF 5 (for squad leader to give orders) . From what i can see, there are 3 different DIAL menus (Ping, Ordnance and Inventory) used with the DIAL menu in the Apex Legends game. This makes it much more complicated to use than in BF 5. Also, it is imperative to use health/shield regeneration quickly and efficiently. I will give this a  go, but i think i might skip this game entirely. I hate these dial menus

Same I really only want to use this for Inventory and Looting.

On the other APEX thread someone was available to download the ST on the XIM 4. Did it get released?

Hi guys,

Sorry for hijacking this; I'm trying to setup alanmcgregor's aux config above but I think I'm screwing it up.

I use DS4 w/ mouse, and when I hold the aux activation button on my mouse, the left analogue stick on the DS4 still only moves my character around but not navigate the wheel like it's should.

Appreciate the help and thanks in advance.

Quick question about using method 1(analog stick), I have the ping button set to a mouse button, so I can see how that would work while holding the ping button down, it would activate the sub-config, to use the analog stick to make the selection.  But, I'm still using the D-pad for (up) health (right) grenades (I'm using a frag chuck controller) So how is it possibly to hold down, the up on the d-pad and use the analog stick (with one hand) to make a selection at the same time?

Or am I missing something?

question, i setup the dials just like in the tutorial. but when i open the Health/armor dial for example, and then move my mouse while holding turn assist button, it barely does anything unless i swing my mouse completely to the other side of my mouse pad really fast and violently. do i need to raise sensitivity in the auxiliary setting?

You did something wrong. Check your confiqs. With Turn assist just small movement is enough.
