Is the RIVAL 600 better than G502?
« on: 06:58 AM - 01/24/19 »
I am asking this because I had some issues with my G502!The lift off jitter I get when I play is driving me crazy!I almost wanted to sell my xim! I saw that the Rival 600 has a lift off sensor. Does it help? I am asking because i want to buy a new mouse ASAP and I don't want to rush my decision.I just took my G502 to warranty. Is it worth buying the Rival 600? Or do you have any other suggestions? I have rather small hands. I just want a mouse I could be comfortable with! I also heard that the Rival 600's sensor is better than G502's! Anyone here who had both mice and could give me their oppinion on the matter?

Thank you very much for your replies!

Good mouse, excellent sensor, adjustable LOD and surface tuning.

I never experienced lift off jitter with the g502. I wonder if you need new/better mouse feet. I can't comment on the rival because I've never tried it.

Yes itís better. Both Hero and regular G502 feel the same.

The Rival 600, I donít know what it is about it, itís just so much smoother / more accurate.

Itís hard to explain until you use it.

Maybe because itís lighter, I donít know but even on my laptop it feels more accurate lol.

Different Sensor Position, lighter weight that fits your grip style more. This and the TrueMove3 performs verry well.Perfect in combination with the Dex.
Unfortunately, the dex was so small. Therefore, I searched for a larger hybrid pad and found the Aorus AMP500. The same processing as the Dex.

This. Better balance too, less inertia forces a more natural joint angle (wrist due the sensor positioning).

I've not even used my Rival 600 for gaming as I simply don't like the way it feels in my hand.  The third button on the side is pretty much useless unless you either play with a claw grip, or like to phone home and are ET (with the extra long fingers!).

Let me know what you think. Sometimes I feel that we convince ourselves that something is better based on advertising. When in actuality the functions aren't that much different. Marketers know what emotions to touch on sell a product. When you first get it it's like "omg, this is so much better." Then after a while you start to get used to it and come to see very small differences.
The Xim is not a magical tool that is going to make you a god. Time, effort and perseverance is what will take your gaming to the next level.
