By "action" I mean a button you need to press while your fingers are on WASD *and* one you use regularly, so not an auxiliary button or a toggle button or a button you never need to hold down and can just quick tap (e.g. so not games where grenades don't need to be cooked for example).

Mine would be B for grenades in Siege - I really need to stretch out my thumb to get to it cause I've used up all my other buttons for what I consider more important actions.

You?

All critical actions are no more than one key away from WASD (typically L1, R1, Triangle and Circle). The exceptions are Options & Touchclick, which are two keys away and never used in combat. PS is tucked away on Esc, Share on Tab. For me, that's miles away from IJKL (instead of WASD).

My thumb however is responsible for at least 7 bindings on an Ergodox (L3, Square, Cross, D-pad directions) and may need to move up to 6 or 7 cm. But it's a simple wrist pivot and thumb extension while maintaining contact with WASD and is not hard to do. Critical functions (L3, Square, Cross) are still mapped within one key of my thumb's resting position.

B is a strange keybind for grenades. I use x or v for nades and that is also my hardest to reach key. I usually make use of my two mouse side buttons left shift left control q e and f as my main keys with c and v as utility keys and left alt as a possible extra key that I never need to use with xim due to button limits
Mainly play overwatch
Generally high master low gm ☺

For any other game I'd agree, but my god Siege needs a lot of buttons! Also I split up crouch into two buttons like on PC, one into a prone and another into a crouch (with no ability to prone), so doing this makes things even worse.

It depends on the game for me, some games I donít even use shift, others I use every key my fingers can reach.

For example: on Siege I use G for gadget, F for ping, and E for nades. But for games like Warframe I donít even use E.

I like scrollup for melee, it makes me feel like I'm hitting someone. Scrolldown is for swap weapon, like I'm reaching behind to grab something.

Melee's the tough one though and I'll frequently bind reload (square) to scrollup instead. If I had a mouse with right-side buttons (left-hander), I'd use button 4 so I can shoot and melee at the same time.
