Fortnite building delay
« on: 03:33 AM - 12/08/18 »
I’ve got terrible building delay, especially stairs which I can’t even place in time to do a 90. No ones really answering my questions about this. It only happened after the new update, and I don’t know why. One person did reply to my last post saying that I need to bind it elsewhere because of ads configurations, all my ads configs are neutral (no smoothing or steady aim) someone else also said it was because of unstable ping but I’m constantly on around 30 -50, and ping has never been a problem. Can someone please help me as I’m lost for options and can’t play the game at all

I read your other post just now and it seems as if you didn't get what Alan meant when he told you to create a sub config. A sub config is basically a configuration that gives you the ability to increase the sensitivity of your mouse when doing a certain action. So, in reference to your building delay; if you create a sub config it should increase your movement ability. With that being said. To create a sub config you need to go into the Xim apex manager and open up global settings while on the fortnite loadout section. Then click on the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner to expand the drop down box and enable "expert configuration mode." After that, use your thumb while on the xim apex managing app to scroll over past the ads configuration. That's where you will see the option to make another configuration and rename it. You can rename it to "build" and then increase the sensitivity on the config to whatever you desire. Make sure that you enable the inherit buttons option so that you can use your hip settings on your sub config. That should solve the issue. I had to do the same thing to be able to look faster while driving vehicles on BO4.

The Xim is not a magical tool that is going to make you a god. Time, effort and perseverance is what will take your gaming to the next level.

I put my auxiliary aim upto 50 and pressed inherit but I still have some building delay, it’s not as bad as it was but it’s still there

theres an easy fix, dont build stairs with your zoom/ads button
go into your secondary bindings and bind the stairs button to a totally new button, this will be your new stairs button then
that way you have the same mouse sensitivity when building stairs and there will be no problems when doing 90s

alternatively use the same mouse sensitivity for hip and ads, or a sensitivity that is very close to your hip sensitivity

Is your keyboard plugged into your console or into xim? I am having the same problem when I plug keyboard straight into console and mouse plugged into XIM. But when i plug Keyboard into XIM its fine.

Do you get that delay still? I’m having this exact issue. I hook my keyboard up directly for the building hot keys separate from my XIM.... but when going to build it lags extremely bad making it unplayable. Just recently started doing this.

its a known bug and EPIC needs to fix this, it has nothing to do with your attached deviced but with the game (as it seems like)

Delete your ADS in the Xim app and just adjust the sensitivity in game
