Hardware:
Mouse: SteelSeries Sensei 310
XIM Apex (5.00.20181109)

Mouse Settings:
Polling Rate: 500Hz
DPI: 800

XIM Apex Settings:
Hip
Response Rate: 500Hz
Aim Sensitivity: 500
Ballistics Curve: X100 | Y60 (deceleration curve)
Synchronize: Default
Smoothing: 20
Steady Aim: 0
Boost: 0
Simulate Analog Behaviour: 100

Aim Down Sight:
Aim Sensitivity: 500
Ballistic Curve: X100 | Y60 (deceleration curve)
Synchronize: Default
Smoothing: 20
Steady Aim: 0
Boost: 20 (crosshair movement for mid-long range)

Fortnite Settings
Controller Sensitivity X: 1.00
Controller Sensitivity Y: 1.00
Controller Targetting Sensitivity: 1.00
Controller Scope Sensitivity: 1.00
Controller Bulding Sensitivity: 2.00

These are my settings, which I am still fine-tuning, to provide the most Aim Assist and movement using XIM Apex on PC. I've seen a lot of Xbox and PS4 configs which do not translate well to PC. Hopefully, this can help others still testing out their configs for the new beta update. This is nowhere near perfect but it's smooth and you can definitely feel the Aim Assist.

I could use some help perfecting it, however. If someone could provide some insight or corrections to help me improve the Aim Assist for this config on PC, I would really appreciate it. I've read several posts all over the forums, several of which are very conflicting on how to increase Aim Assist. Below are some notes on my findings for better Aim Assist on PC without reducing my ability to move smoothly.

Notes:
  • 500Hz tends to provide better Aim Assist than 1,000Hz
  • Low DPI like 800 also helps vs 12,000
  • I am definitely a wrist reflex player more than an arm reflex player so a higher Sensitivity feels more comfortable though I am trying to learn to use a lower Sensitivity
  • I use a deceleration Ballistic Curve because I read that it improves Aim Assist
  • I would use a stronger Ballistic Curve deceleration but since Aim Sensitivity maxes out at 500 on the XIM Apex, a more decelerated Ballistic Curve would make my turn speed too slow
  • Synchronize is set to Default because I have FPS set to Unlimited and I read that Default improves Aim Assist
  • I find that using Common or Slow with 60FPS or 30FPS respectively makes my game look choppy
  • With all the other settings, 2-3 Smoothing does more than enough to ensure my mouse movement isn't jittery but from playing with higher Smoothing, I feel as though the Aim Assist is more prevalent
  • I've also read that higher Smoothing improves Aim Assist as well
  • The same goes for Simulate Analog Behaviour but whereas some builds have it at 110, I find that sometimes it makes my selection jump in inventory and game settings
  • I've read that Boost decreases Aim Assist but I added a touch for mid-long range where the Aim Assist is just a little off especially when I'm shooting at a moving target

Hmm, you should go through all the youtube videos posted by XIMGameplay! You will then see that some settings you’re using are affecting aim assit and practically doesn’t give you any improvement.

So go through the videos and you will understand what you need to do for maximum aim assit.
