XIM APEX BETA [Firmware 20181012]
« on: 03:27 PM - 10/12/18 »
UPDATE: This build is obsolete. Please upgrade to latest here.

This is an experimental BETA firmware build designed to address the Fortnite disconnect issue. You are encouraged to install even if you don't play Fortnite in order to provide additional testing.

Download: http://cloud.xim.tech/Beta/XIMAPEXFlash-20181012-PC-BETA.exe

Known Fortnite issue: There have been reports that digital (keyboard) player movement isn't as precise. We will be providing future builds in order to tune the system.

Please leave your feedback here and let us know:

1) Do you get disconnects, if so, how often and how far into the game do you get?
2) How does player control feel to you?

A PC is required to upgrade your XIM APEX (a Mac flash tool will be provided at a later date).

Flash Upgrade Instructions (instructional video):
1. Hold down the button on your XIM APEX
2. Plug your XIM APEX into your computer while continuing to hold the button
3. Wait for your XIM APEX's light to display blue and then release the button
4. Download and run the XIMAPEXFlash tool
5. Select Update Firmware
6. Disconnect your XIM APEX from your computer after the tool completes

Just tested it.  I didn't get kick in any of the three games I played.  Control felt a little floaty, but nothing that I can;t get used to.  I didn;t get a chance to platy on the old beta you posted earlier though, so I can't compare it to that one....

XIM APEX BETA [Firmware 20181012] FEEDBACK

Accidently submitted.. Loaded and testing now. BRB  :o

G#1 No Kick. 09:00m played.
G#2 No Kick. 07:00m played.
G#3 No Kick. 20:00m played.

Comments: Feels better than previous (-1011) version. I do not notice any movement issues yet.

Using this in BO4 menus is not good. You can see a lot of the diagonal/etc input being used.

PRE Firmware 20181012]

3 minute disconnect, only work around was use controller for 3 min then switch back to xim apex.

AFTER:

Works like a charm - my aim seemed to be even smoother than before.  Xim team you guys rock!

After all it has some discomfort.
If you do not play Fortnite you do not need to change.
However, the quick response of Ximt Tech is wonderful.
Thank you from all Japanese users.

I'm not sure why your player is stopping like that. Are you sure it doesn't happen on the prior retail firmware?

Welcome to the community. It shouldn't as it's using the all the same parameters. Are you no longer getting kicked?

Also, another build is coming tomorrow with some of the settings refined.

Wasn’t around to try the first beta. This one works do far   I did a disco game and played probably 15 minutes . I died at about 15 mind and fortnite crashed. Not sure if related or not
Wasn’t kicked for mkb. I notice a slight drift but honestly it doesn’t bother me at all
The crash may be related to my Xbox being on for 72 hours straight

It's going to take a few builds to tune this right. This build was desinged to be conservative to unblock. We will have another build tomorrow for feedback. I can imagine needing to release several builds for feedback. I may even get fancy and let you adjust some of this stuff yourself by overriding an existing Config knob so we don't have to wait on builds.

Thoughts on that?

What’s the bare minimum you can go with the float movement before being detected
