Sony Navigation Controller Support
« on: 08:06 AM - 09/16/18 »
Hi,

My Sony Nav has just arrived and so far has been a great addition to my XIM. However I'm currently using my XIM Apex with the Titan 2 and I've noticed that my Sony Nav needs to be re-authenticated every 10 mins. This only happens when I Plug my Nav into Slot #3 on the Xim. When I plug the Nav into Slot #2, this issue does not happen..BUT  only the analog stick is operational (the x,o,L1,L2 do not register). Is there any fix for this? Or are these the consequences I have to suffer for using the T2 with the Apex?

I'd greatly appreciate any help or advice I can get

hey,

the port 3 of your xim hub is reserved for the controller, which will do the authentification process with your playstation every 8-10 minutes
since the sony nav is also a playstation controller (to some extend), your console might try to do the authentification process with the sony nav instead
since its a ps3 controller this may cause problems

id recommend you to plug the sony nav in port 2 of your xim hub
are you able to bind your sony nav buttons in the xim manager to your prefered controller actions then?

Hi, I just found a solution for this myself. I currently have:
Sony Nav in PORT 3
Mouse in PORT 1
XIM APEX in INPUT A (of Titan Two)
Stock PS4 Controller in INPUT B

Everything works just fine now and that authentication issue is gone. And yes I am able to bind my actions from the Sony Nav to Xim Mananger  :D

Thanks for the reply

APEX nav pairing instructions:

NAV off
XIM off
Controller in XIM Port 3 "..."
NAV in XIM Port 1 "."
XIM on
Connect manager and make sure NAV shows up
Unplug NAV
Confirm wireless NAV shows up in manager

This might totally be in my head but I honestly feel like there is a 1-2mms delay when you go wireless
