Why I am not TOO excited about Blackout
« on: 01:18 PM - 09/08/18 »
Simple, there MAY NOT be a solo blackout mode. Stupid treyarch is so focused on teamwork that I guarantee you the blackout mode will be team vs team, which is something that I absolutely cant stand.

I DONT WANT TEAMATES, i DONT LIKE TEAMATES, I DONT NEED TEAMATES. Teamates are the one thing that can make me rage quit and aggravate me the most when playing an online shooter. I despise player collision, I despise the sounds they make in the background, distracting me from my true targets. Honestly I've had plenty of games back when I played TDM where teamates got my blood to the boiling point one minute into the match.

So yea, if there is no SOLO Blackout this thing will be a 0/10 for me and I will not touch it. Just like in Multiplayer, if there is no Core and Hardcore Free for All, I will not even touch it.

Screw teamwork.

Good point here. It did look like its squad based, like teams of 4-5 players x20 or x16 depends on how many are in a squad.

Its like squad based tdm in Battlefield, at least i know BF3 had this mode.

Honestly, if theres no solo q mode, like 80players all on their own vs each other, the game will suck dog meat really hard.

I would never play in a squad in Fortnite or any BR game. Its not a true “king of the hill” feeling if you play with a squad vs other squads.

I read somewhere that it's setup almost identical to PUBG. So, Solo, Duo and squads. I'm certain of this but will have to search for it. But I agree and that is actually my biggest concern with Battlefield V Battle Royale. So far they've only mentioned squads. That would be a huge mistake IMO. BO4 should be good to go though!

I’m sorry to break this to you but you kinda sound like a school shooter, but I get your point teammates can be annoying but you just need to find a squad that listens, understands, Have an IQ higher than 115 points and can ACTUALLY AIM. That’s all you need in Battle royale

Im not a school shooter, don't belittle me like that. I am the destroyer of planet earth.

And even if I did have a good team, my ego does not allow me to accept having a good teamate STEALING MY KILLS. I want it all for myself.

Don't you get it ? I despise everything that team work stands for, in video games, as well as in real life. The only type of team work I'm ok with is when I'm boss and people simply obey exactly what I say.

Just played the Blackout beta for a few rounds, needless to say its efin dog sheet. Slowpaced and boring.

Honestly if you suck at normal BO4 multiplayer, youd probably do good on that one.

So yeah if u suck D in TDM, Kill Confirmed etc. - go play blackout. And by you I dont mean someone particular, but in general.

I mean ppl liked COD because its a fast paced, arcady, twitchy, in your face shooter. Blackout is exactly the opposite of it. If you like crouching around and duck walking around like a nerd- bo4 Blackout is for you.

I Mean what is Blackout essentially? You loot for like 5 mins., then walk around for 10mins, get killed by a nerd who was laying prone in the grass like a coward, so that you couldnt see him. Then you leave the game, search for a new lobby and repeat. Congratulations, you had like 3 engagements in like 15 minutes. Great fun indeed.

And I wouldnt even say that the engagements feel more thrilling, intense, satisfactory or anything like that. You kill someone, then sit there for 3 minutes and select whatever you want to pick, then actually manage your gun attachments for another 3 minutes, then run for 5 mi utes until you find someone else you can shoot. Aehm, yeah great action.

Another thing too is- the whole looting etc. is very uncomfortable with a xim and kbm. You need to pick up the controller, then u can do all the looting like 25x faster. Then again allways switching back and forth sucks too.

Overall- they managed to put Battlefield into COD lol. I remember bf3 nerds playing like that, like crouching in the grass, then peeking out, then crouching back inside the bush etc.

I wish I could play normal multiplayer instead of this slowpaced, boring, ”strategical” goat crap. Its beyond me how ppl dont fall asleep while playing smth like this. It is like they slowed down the normal multiplayer by 85%; thats how it feels at least.

In normal MP it feels like youre there actually playing something. Blackout feels like going into the forrest and collecting mushrooms and stuff.. Then you meet someone, beat him up and take his mushroom bag away and go to some other place to repeat the procedure.. Wow, very intense.

And then- TTK in this is so ridiculous, it is like 5x longer TTK compared to Fortnite and like 3.5x longer compared to Pubg. Ppl eat bullets like theyre M&Ms...

Of course it's garbage. When has Treyarch done anything remotely positive in the PVP aspect of COD? They rode the backs of IW and once they were gone the originality was lost. Treyarch became the influencers and rode this franchise into the dirt.

City- dunno if youre beeing sarcastic or not, but thats actually the bottom line. I mean [email protected] and BO1 werent bad games, but they were in the shadows of MW2 and COD4. Many ppl stayed on cod4 instead of switching to waw, or mw2 instead of switching to bo1, after trying both waw and bo1. Why? Because IW games felt more visceral and had better connection and were more fun to play, with better killstreaks and gun play.

BO2 was trash in my personal oppinion, some of the worst connections ever, extremely op sniper rifles, extremely annoying gimmicks like target finder, paper plane killstreak etc. Footseps not possible to hear. Very camper friendly with insane ammount of headglitches everywhere. BO2 was just ebola. Broken camera angles, massive player model desync in lobbies. Ppl would sponge bullets like the bullets are made of marshmallows.

BO3 wasnt as bad, but it had a ton of issues still with hitreg/ player model desync and so on.

Actually I thought BO4 multiplayer was probably the better MP game out of the last 3 treyarch installments. Which is rly not saying much, but I think it is playable without wanting to put your (or somebody elses) head through a wall.

Btw I will upload a video later of how nerds play this trash Blackout mode, laying in the grass and bs like that.

I will try it later, too im kind of busy at the moment LOL SOunds like it's not that good

And for the record I LOVE slower pace, not too slow though. In TDM for example I absolutely love it when there is just 3 or 4 ppl per team instead of 6. It just makes positioning and control a lot better and more important. Plus I actually have time to reload my @#$% gun after every gunfight and most gunfights are 1v1

2v2 and 3v3 Face Off from MW3 was the only team based thing I could stand.

Nah I @#$% hate Treyarch. They aren't good devs at all. A good studio wouldn't fill 3 games to the brim with 3 lane rinse and repeat maps. They just don't get it. I honestly can't think of another game that spawns you where the fuk ever on a team based mode. Also consistently flipping spawns is a recipe for disaster on a 3 lane linear map.

Look at this effortless flow around the map. You don't get this with 3 lane linear maps.
You'll never capture this type of flow from a Treyarch game

Lucky for us the mfer who made this map and understands this is heading mp development at IW. Also made comparable maps in Titanfall 1 and 2.

Blackout looks and plays great... Just Saying, Lol

Lovin it! Hell may be my Favorite game this year. No 3rd person mode, runs smooth, looks great and all vehicles feel very intuitive. Looting is really easy, not sure the issue there.

RIP - PUBG!

Well, Im not liking this one bit.

It took me 2 minutes to find a weapon, and another 10 minutes looking for bullets and I could barely find any.

Looting sux. Get rid of it.

At least they got rid of the annoying building from fortnite. But I really dont see myself playing this mode. I just can't spend 15 minutes looking for stuff just to get killed, im sorry. This is the biggest and most boring waste of time ever.

Black ops 4 is just copying multiple games and its not doing right at all. I understand taking a concept and having the Call of Duty way but this just sucks.

Blackout SHOULD have been without any vehicles, specialist abilities and looting, where you spawn with your created class setup and just kill people, simple as that. Basically a giant free for all.
